After a little taco party I had at my place on Friday, a little sing-a-long developed out of a brand new Everlea song written for Skate 4 Cancer. It was a pretty special moment that I filmed to watch on repeat at later dates.
The Mountains Are Calling

This post has been a long time coming and I still feel like I’m jumping the gun on posting it. For basically the entire summer I’ve been at work on starting a magazine called Mountains. My good friend Jason Mante took care of the art direction and layout while I covered the concept and photography. So many great friends lent great hands too. The first issue is being printed right now and will be mailed to me this week! Issue #1 has four feature sections; a large photo essay of my trip around North America shooting portraits and whatever else I came across, a poetry profile of underground (until now) poet Trevor Walroth’s writings, a similar profile of Jackie Musial’s illustrations and art work and last but not least a really awesome interview of Skate 4 Cancer’s Rob Dyer by a completely unrelated Andrea Dyer. I’ll certainly be posting more as the 1000 issues show up here this week and the website for this project gets done but the time to announce it is now!
Next Friday (October 2nd) there is show going down in Burlington, ON (my place of residence) with my good friends Life in Sound, Everlea and Lifestory: Monologue. Mountains will be jumping on the show to have an official launch of issue #1! It will be available for the first time at this show for $8 which will go to help out my new awesome friend Ashley and her battle with Cancer. If you can make it, please do! And come say hi! After the jump is the shows flyer (before the Mountains is added) and here is a link to the facebook event page.
Below is some outtakes of the portrait shoot with Jackie Musial for her section in Mountains. Go check out her blog now!

PDN
Recently I did answered a few questions for PDN about my We Are Sleeping Giants website. I feel like I often come out like a fool when I open my mouth but they did a good job of making me seem pseudo- smart. Anthony’s new myspace
Go here - http://www.myspace.com/anthonygreen and here - http://www.anthonygreenschildren.com Make sure you listen! They make some good music.
Also – this video/book/man is inspiring me so much right now. I’m going to put him at the top of my ‘desired portraits to take’ list.
More Football
If I were smart I would just post a full post worth of shots from the last CFL game I shot. I’m not so here is one that I remembered as I woke this morning and felt inclined to share.

Circa Survive – Bass Tracking
Jamie (see below) made another sick video. Stoked on seeing my fisheye put to use.
Anthony Green
My bags were packed and I was about to head home when I saw Anthony sitting outside playing by himself. I asked if I could shoot while he did and he was down. I like photos of people singing or playing music outside of a concert venue.

Aftermath

Meet Jamie
Jamie the man behind Circa Survive’s most excellent video blogs while they’re in the studio. Go watch them here – www.circasurvive.com Today, I let him use some of my lenses so I’m extra excited to see how that turns out!

Labour Day Classic
JUST got home from the Ti-Cats/Argos game, edited this photo in about 30 seconds and now I must fly out my door again! More later this week and many a good things this month!
